Biking to Sarangkot in Pokhara
Ride along the Lakeside (towards the mountains) to the last intersection and sealed road. Turn right and follow the way that returns to Central Pokhara and after riding for 2 kilometers turn left and continue to the north. After further 2 kilometers, there is a small sealed road to the left signposted as the road to Sarangkot. After 6 kilometers, there are a few tea shops and from this point the road ahead is the 4WD track. Continue until you reach the Y intersection and the right turning takes you to the Sarangkot point.
From Sarangkot, take the road straight ahead via Kaski to Naudanda. The Kaski section takes half an hour to an hour. From the top of Kaski, you will follow the trial to Naudanda which is at an altitude of 1590 meters, a gain of 840 meters from Pokhara. The road from Pokhara to Naudanda is around 22 kilometers long and an uphill route.
From Naudanda, it is 6 kilometer downhill to Mardi Khola and a gentle slope to Pokhara. The road is the smooth asphalt highway to Pokhara. You will see the excellent views of the Himalayas from the route. The total length of the route is 54 kilometers and takes around 7 hours to complete.
